Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 23 April 2026

1.Who we are

SignalCheck (“SignalCheck”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Abdi Bedel (trading as Abdi Bedel Lab). These Terms govern your use of the SignalCheck website, dashboard, and any related services (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, submitting an idea, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2.What SignalCheck does

SignalCheck takes a written description of a product or business idea and uses large language models and third-party data sources to generate a research brief — including competitor scans, demand signals, and suggested experiments.

The output is AI-generated, informational, and probabilistic. It is not financial, legal, investment, tax, or professional business advice. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on it.

3.Accounts

You need an account to generate and save briefs. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.

4.Your content and your ideas

You retain all ownership of the ideas, text, and materials you submit (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of your ideas.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, and transmit Your Content strictly so we can operate the Service for you — for example, to run AI analysis, generate a brief, store it in your dashboard, and send it to the third-party AI and search providers we use.

We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use Your Content to train our own models.

5.AI output, accuracy, and limitations

By its nature, AI-generated research can be:

  • incomplete, outdated, or factually wrong;
  • confidently stated even when incorrect (so-called “hallucinations”);
  • missing competitors, regulations, or risks that a human expert would catch.

You should treat every brief as a starting point, not a verdict. Validate anything material with your own research and, where appropriate, a qualified professional.

6.Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • break any law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • submit personal data about other people without a lawful basis;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service, or probe it for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure;
  • generate content that is unlawful, harassing, deceptive, malicious, or designed to harm others;
  • resell, white-label, or systematically republish briefs as your own product without written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, with or without notice.

7.Paid plans, billing, and refunds

Some features may be free; others may require a paid plan. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge the payment method on file on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — we don’t pro-rate partial periods.

Because each brief consumes AI and third-party API credits the moment you run it, completed briefs are non-refundable. If something has genuinely gone wrong on our end, email us at abdiybedel@gmail.com and we’ll sort it out.

8.Our intellectual property

The SignalCheck name, brand, site, codebase, prompts, templates, and the generic structure of the briefs are ours. These Terms don’t grant you any rights in them beyond using the Service as intended.

9.Third-party services

SignalCheck relies on third parties — including AI providers (such as Anthropic), search/data providers, authentication providers, hosting (Vercel), and payment processing (Stripe). Their availability, terms, and pricing can change, and outages on their side may affect the Service.

10.Availability, changes, and early-stage notice

SignalCheck is an early-stage product. Features may change, break, or disappear. We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in any particular region.

11.Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

12.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited (for example, for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence).

13.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

14.Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we need to for legal, security, or operational reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as IP, disclaimers, liability, and governing law) will do so.

15.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where reasonable, notify you by email or in-app. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

16.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service, except that consumers may have additional rights under the mandatory laws of their home country that cannot be waived.
